- On Thursday when all the classes started to come in i was hiding. I kept saying " Hello!!" Over and over again until the exhibition ended. I was nervous and did not know what to do. On Friday i was more confidence because i made no mistakes and not move around I spoke loudly and clearly.
- I was creative because I made a fish for though my group also made a fisher man on the boat and made a small fish that got caught.
- I showed confidence because i was not scared , nervous and shy. Lots of the parents were asking me question and I can not answered there question.
- I learnt that I should not eat fish every day and I will try to eat fish twice a week.

last reflection
On the first day of the exhibition . I enjoyed having the pre-schoolers . I liked presenting our power point to all the class because they were all interested in the shark fin soup part. The KG's were talking when we stopped talking it was a bit annoying .I liked Friday because my parents came and the grade 7's were interested on what we had done .
I learnt that I am better working in a group than alone . I even learnt many new research skills and that if I set myself to accomplish sometimes , then I can really do it. I even learnt that I can do a good power point . I can get some good iformation to.
I was a thinker because I had to think well about the answers the parents asked . I was creative because we made a word sreach in a very creative way . I was caring because when the pre - shoolers came I had to simplify the words and make it more interesting for them by asking more questions to them.
Well , I may use our action ans continue it to save the fish . I would not eat shark fin soup and spread what I have learnt .

This is to be the last reflection I will ever do on the Exhibition, in this blog. The Exhibition is over, and I am happy and relieved, yet also a little bit sad...
Well, here we go!
On the day if the Exhibition we were all nervous, awaiting our first glimpse of what we have been waiting for a long time. Everything happened so fast, all our approximately 6 weeks, maybe more,crammed into 2 days. Grade ones to Grade elevens were swarming around us. To me,the younger ones were the hardest to satisfy, having very short attention spans, and hands that wanted to touch everything, while the high-schoolers were sullen, quiet, and sometimes laughing or making a remark about how short we are and that we were doing a fantastic job.
I have learnt a lot about myself within the past weeks, more than I think necessary, actually. I have learnt that my utmost fears are true, that when I am a leader, I force most of the work on myself, as if I do everything perfect, which is definitely not true . I have also learnt that breaks while working our not totally EVIL, as I have always thought. Thankfully, I also learnt a few pleasant things about myself, allthough I am not all to sure of what they are. I think one of them are that I am, " a very loud ad confident speaker," which is what one of the Grade fours told me. This Exhibition has really changed my life, in its small way. It has confirmed, for me, the poster in the library's saying," People are like teabags, you don't know how strong they are until you put them in hot water." The Exhibition was like that except maybe not hot. More like mildly warm, but I think this is a very good metaphor.
Some skills I have used are organisational skills, although there is still a lot more to be desired, for me, in the information. I think I also used conversation, as our group conducted two satisfying interviews with a free-lance writer and a teacher. I think I was also using thinking skills, in the very little time we had to actually sit down, stare into space, and think!
A skill I almost did not use, I am sad to say, is Integrity. I broke a few of my promises and what should have been a fun, interactive model still remains a piece of paper and some gluey cardboard to this very day.
A few questions I want to ask are basically the details; how many sharks get killed a day? Month? Year? Why can't Chinese make a non-wasteful substitute to shark fin? which countries use hand-held sonars?
I have always thought that a research should have an end right after you finish until I came to this school.
And this........................ is the very ,very, very, very ,very ,very END!!!

Pressure, pressure, pressure!
Tomorrow is one of the exhibitions!!!
I am very excited and nervous, although when we practiced with the Grade 4s, it was quite easy to make it interactive, though half the time I could not hear what I was saying. I think each teamate should handle a few people by themselves because I think it makes much more sense when people are coming and going at different times.

OH NOOO IN 2 DAYS !!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH
I CANT WAIT FOR 2 DAYS THE EXHIBITION!!!!
Well Ms,Doray was sick today:( But today we have to set all of the poster and the model up for the exhibition and its was a very busy day today.
But it was quite fun. Mrs, Tuli have give us a group number for the show and Mrs, Tuli have change the word a little bit. First Katharine cant stop making the baby noise and which is hard to remember.

Today Ms Doray was not here, so Ms Tuli replaced her. Finally, we are done with our powerpoint.We set up our booth, but did not have enough time to finish decorating, we still have to finish our borders,models, and the big blank space at the bottom. Today was the day when we had to get EVERYTHING done! Frustratingly, we did not, and we are all bringing something home, Pailin is bringing the model, Sarah the powerpoint, and I, the bibliography. We did not get a chance to fine-tune our skit, but I think we will be able to pull through.

We have few days left

Today we did lots of work . We even had time in art to add on are modles we painted it so it like the sea ms.Ziegler gave us some tips and it looked a lot like a sea . Pailin brought the modle home and Katharine is doing the bibliography .
We are going to get the word search and anagram colour printed by Ms.Tuli. I just have to email her the thing . Pailin had to finish a poster at home but she did the wrong thing by mistake and I had to do most of the work for her today.
We are mostly done with our power point and we had to show are plays to the class and Ms .Doray she aid it was good so we are going to have a dress rehersal tommorrow. We have to finish every thing by tommorrow and maybe putting up the posters up next week.

Need to finish poster,modle and bibligorphy
Today we have finally finish our power point but we still need to work on our poster and the model. Then after that we have to go outside for our rehearsal and we have made some changes a little bite. Ms, Doray was telling Katharine and me to stop making the cute little sound and some of my class mate were laughing too.
Well today I went over to asked Mrs,Ziggler if we are still doing the model and she said yes and we asked Mrs,Ziggler if we can start to do some painting and the paint was not down at the art room. Sarah, Katharine and I we have to go up and get all of the stuff and bring them down to the art class.
Well i have alot of fun today and its going to be even more exciting on Friday the 22nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One More Day!
Today we finished (most of) our powerpoint, and our basic posters for all our inquiry points.
Now we just have our bibliography, skit, and model to finish, and there is only one more day! I hope we finish by tomorrow. All the groups showed their skits to Ms Doray, and when it was the part when we, the fish, have to die, I hit my head on the floor.
At the end of school, we painted our model, but that is about all we got done

finishing things

This week we have been finishing our posters and research .I finished the power point at last we had many good pics on that. I even finished of the word search and anagram Katharine ,pailin and ms.doray said it was awesome and all those days payed off. We still have not got a graph but I feel we may not need it because we have many posters to put up.
Yesterday the 5 people that were doing a power point on the over all exhibition .Ms. Tuli made a mistake about the date and we have to have a meeting again with out Ms.Tuli on which day we are going to stay after school to put part of the power point on .
We haven't done much on our much on our modle but we are planing to finish it fast . think we have art ime to do are modles so we may get it done.

Almost done with the poster
Well today we have do get started on out poster and model because we only have a few days left until the exhibition. And today Kathrine and I started to do our poster and Sarah was doing her power point and she was looking at the picture to see if she find any photo on the shark fin cutting but she found many good different picture. When we had finish the poster we have do think of what custom are we going to wear for our rehearsal and we need to finish our model.

Today we had to finish all our captions , and we jjuuuuusssttt managed it. We also finished up on our powerpoint showing our interview and several pictures. Two more days left!!! While Pailin and Sarah were finishing off the "What can we do?" poster, I stuck paper on a stick so we could paint it and make it a fishing pole.
Everyone has to bring something home to finish it, but I cannot because I forgot the paper. :{

Posters...
Today we got all our information together and made posters our different inquiries. Pailin's poster was shaped like two jelly fish, while Sarah and I were boring old squares because we had two much information in our inquiries.
Ms Doray gave us two websites to look at, and in the afternoon, we made our invite to our parents about our exhibition and worked on our model.

Done with the script
Well on Thursday up at the art class we have to talk to our group and start thinking what model are we going to do and what material are we going to use and so on ya. Up at the art class was so busy and there were many different materiral to use and Sarah have pick up many sea shells for our model.
Well at the IT class our gruop was the first one to finish our mieda video and Mr,Redd was asking us to show the video and how did we out it on the to the power point Sarah,Kath and i was shock and we dont even know what to said we were siting down and quiet and on the video Sarah started to stear at Kath and so we have to cut that part of.
Well I feel confident about the exhibtion know becuse before I feel very terrible and didn't know what do but now I think Im ready for the exhibtion. :) :) :) :)

Done Collating!
Finally, I am done collating and we are finally extending our script. Today we could not use the computers, so we came up with ways to help reduce overfishing. Next week is the last week, which means we need every thing done by the end.We got a head start on that today, because we had all our information set.We chose our colored pieces of paper and drew fish and wrote information on it.

Today we did a many things I did the anagrams ,Pailin did the skit script and Katharine did collating.In art we stared on are models I real wanted to do are masks at first but then doing the models were pretty fun and we managed to finish a lot and get a lot of ideas for the other parts.
It was really nice to get started on are models .My group had to show a the class how we put a movie in to the PowerPoint .Then my group had to show the interview . We still could not get any info on the graphs so I do not think that we are going to do anything on that.
I felt we could have done much more but I think we did pretty well. I even brought in some shells and died coral . We may even make some coral .We have a boat on top and so other things we put on .

Today we went up to library and play some little game on our topic and we have to put the paper together and when we have finish with it Mrs, Capatiny come and give the group a timeline and we need to write what we have to finish it and when are we going to do it and so on ya.
Today we were watching "THE 11th OUR" and we have to complete the info about the thing that we want to know.
After that Ms, Doray give us dome t ime to think on what play are you going to do but it got to be 1 minute and so kathrine, Sarah and me we give in some ideas what are we going to do and the ideas that we give in was i good one and we put our ideas together and I think it works very well :) :) :) :) :)

We bored a book from Garcet's group and that book came to use it had a website on it and a paragraph of info on it so we diced to use it. Katharine is still collating our info and I still had a problem with finding a good graph to use . Time lines
Today we still could not find any details for a graph, but we found a lot on DFM. In the library Ms C made us do a Big 6 timeline, on a weekly basis so we will have to do a new one after each week. At the Exhibition we will put the timelines up, along with evidence, like pictures. Sadly, we still do not know what we are going to do for a model, but we are working on it!
At the end of the day, we watched "The 11th Hour" for a shortime and prepared for our assembly, which is tommorrow. Each group made a short skit about their topic. We did something like a cheer with forming letters with our bodies.Later, Sarah and Pailin both got computers,Sarah did our powerpoint, Pailin, DFM research while I was collating our information.

Today we did most of the things we had to do but some things we could not get. We could not find a good graph and Pailin was not working with us .she was sick. It was a bit hard for Katharine to collate because Pailin had her poi book with her.Ms Doray even sent us a website that we could look at .
I put the interview video on to our powerpoint .We put a youtube video on our blog and i know how to put it on our powerpoint to know.In the morning we did not get that much time but just as much as i needed to finish some reseach.I still had a problem with my graph and needed some help.
We went for a Interview on saterday and got most of her long answers useful. It was a good interview and Katharine got most of it on her camera and then some thing happend and it did not work any more so we had to remeber most of it .

Today we got our interview, clipped it until it was 45 seconds, and put it on our powerpoint. Pailin was sick so we did not finish our final script for our play yet. When we looked over the Exhibition Rubric, I think we still have quite a few tasks to go, but I am sure we will be able to get to our goal in a week.

The website used a lot of big words and a few acronyms we did not know about, but when Ms doray explained it, it was much more easy to understand. Today Katharine was not there so it was a bit hard working with 2 people but we did pretty well . I had 1 problem I could not find the numbers of fish the top ten countries fished for so Ms Doray said we could get other research and look for that while we are doing are research. Ms Doray even gave us a website called noodle tools .I can not really remember the website address.
We even watched a bit more of the documentary called 11Th hour i finished writing all my 8 or 9 facts. I even got a bit of info to add on to are work. We had to show are skits to the grade 4's Grace.t said she will be Katharine and do her part that was thankful because we needed Katharine to do her part.

scary 11th hour
Today we try to go to Mr,Red classroom and the grade 3 was using them so we have to do some thing else like caption and Ms, Doray was asking us about the work how are we going with the work. Today the IT lab was not available so we made our main caption,"Overfishing." Ms Doray checked on what we were doing for the Exhibition, and said that we needed points inside the points,which the library teacher told us later. We made the caption out of magazine pages and I I thought that it looked pretty good.
In the afternoon, we watched a documentary called, "The 11th Hour." The documentary looked quite scary at first, and remained so for the whole part that we watched. I did not know that we humans are so thick that we totally ignore proven fact!!! It was also scary that global warming and climate change might inflict diseases, like cancer and asthma to little children.

The most haunting part was that we are at the point where we can make a difference, and if we do not, earth, our only planet that meets all our needs, might turn into it's sister planet, Venus.
I did not get the part when the people said that the thing that makes us human, is not human. I also have not yet realised how our population has so quickly increased! I look forward to learning more from the show...

Today we have to go out and talk to Mrs. Tuli about how are we going with our work and what else we needed to work on and how are we going to do them.

This afternoon Sarah and I when to see Mrs,Ziegler in 4A class
we asked her to help us with our model giving a ideas.
Top 10
Today we made a timeline with Ms Tuli, making deadlines for all our additions to the Exhibition and decided to change our 4th question, again.
Now it is "Which countries fish the most? What are they doing about it?"
Sarah got the Top 10 countries and Pailin wrote down the script of our short skit. I am in charge collating all our info.
I think that overall, we are doing quite well, we just need to get the visuals, media, and interviews done.

Sonar
Today our action plan was to make a model and gather information and media for our 4th question. We did not get round to making a model as Ms Z was having a lesson, so we got more info for the question and made a powerpoint with a video in it.
That was very hard, as we did not know how to put a Youtube video on a powerpoint.
But at break, Mr Red told us that he found a way to do so. We still do not have a nice visual, but we still have a few weeks to go!

Past, Present, Future....
Today we were given a research period. We used it to find the answers to our 4th question: Why and how has fishing escalated? Fishing escalated after the World War II , where fisheries started using military technology such as sonar and with low frequency so it does not harm the fish.
Mr Red also found a way to allow other team mates to post on the leader's blog, so it will be easier for Ms Doray to check on our blog entries.
After, we did our "creative addition" to our exhibition. Many people were very funny and creative, while our short skit was very simple, "Fishing in the Past, Fishing in the Present and Fishing in the Future".
Today all of the groups had to do there little show on the topic that they are doing.
Our group is doing on overfishing and we had come up with our ideas on the show and all of the groups had to come up with different thing like Ashley, Grace and Kaho are doing on the endendangered animals and they had come up with a rap song.
First our group was thinking to do the tuna fish dance and second we were thinking to do some play and last but not less we don't know what to do so today we just come up with some small ideas and i think that our group is doing on very well on overfishing :)

Shark Video
Today we completed our action plan, the first time we ever did!
Ms Tuli and Ms Doray showed us how to create our own blogs to save paper. We also found Youtube for a video about de-finned sharks called Hai-fish,but we thought that it was too... severe. The main message of the video was: Everyone who ate a shark fin is evil.
So we have to keep searching......
